HOW designs both one-time and recurring events to facilitate meaningful engagement, to aid safe and authentic connection, and to nurture healing, pleasure, and collaboration. We also consult with groups who would like support to create and carry out welcoming and values-driven gatherings and events.
2023 Events

Gather with nonprofit and community leaders to explore and practice embodying boundaries to stay aligned with ourselves and our communities.
“Belonging can also be thought of as longing to be…It is the capacity to be present and to discover our authenticity and whole selves. This is often thought of as an individual capacity, but it is also a community capacity. Community is the container within which our longing to be is fulfilled.”
–Peter Block, Community: The Structure of Belonging
Can you imagine what work would feel like if you could show up more honestly?
How might our boundaries help us to push back against systems that require us to ignore our needs and full humanity and allow us to create spaces where it is safe to be authentic?
Huddle Goals
Over FIVE 2-hour emergent learning sessions together we will tap into our collective wisdom and creativity to explore topics including:
- Alternatives to white supremacy culture
- Safety and authenticity
- Self and collective accountability
- Care and consent
- Collective visioning and action

2022 Events

Join Healing Our Work for Healing Our Week, a weekly drop-in zoom. In this hour we will create an intentional container for nurturance, creativity, and connection that can build your capacity to face the day and week with integrity and care.
This is a chance to slow down before the whirlwind of a busy week and in the larger context of capitalism and grind/burnout culture. With a mix of grounding activities, reflection prompts, and space to connect, together let’s practice taking the time and space we all need and deserve to check-in with our needs, ground into our values, and breathe — one hour at a time.
Join us on the Mondays you can from 9:30-10:30am ET from November 7th -December 19th.
Click here to register and receive the zoom link.

Are you at a personal or professional crossroads, or in a space of transition, healing, and transformation?
Are you committed to personal, interpersonal, and systemic change toward equity and liberation?
Join us as we celebrate and support you through the often lonely and difficult process of challenging norms, breaking patterns, growing into your radical leadership, and collectively building an abundant future.
Over the course 6 months, Healing Our Work co-founders Julia Terry & Kris Smith will facilitate a monthly space for peer support, accountability, intentional practice, emergence, and radical imagination.
Our inaugural Crossroads Cohort has begun. Please check back in fall 2022 for more information about future Crossroads Cohorts.
